What was your craziest experience during the European tour? Do you have a favorite moment?
Everyone:
When the fans’ voices were louder than the instruments. (Everyone agrees)

What was your favorite town to perform in?
Everyone:
Cologne, Germany—the venue, the staff, everything was perfect.

What was each member’s favorite song to perform during the EU tour?
Somyul:
My Little Dark Paradise (Juho and Limu agree)
Geon: Falling Star (Because I had more room to observe the audience and the atmosphere)

What did you think of the European tour, its audiences, and the organizers? Did you feel the vibes were different from the last EU tour?
Somyul:
It was quite different. On the last tour, we didn’t really have much opportunity to interact with fans, but this time, we were able to at least greet them briefly before and after the shows, which was nice.
Juho: The atmosphere was definitely different. Since this tour was on a larger scale, the audience response and the energy on-site were even better. The support from the organizers was amazing.

Fans often experience ‘post-concert depression’ after attending several shows, as they miss meeting new people and making friends. Do you also struggle with returning to reality after tours?
Somyul: Not at all.
Limu: On the contrary, I feel relieved that we made it through, and it motivates me to do even better next time.
Juho: Yes, I have. Returning home while still high on the excitement of the tour was difficult.
Geon: More than going home, I feel a mix of emptiness and fulfillment when looking at the quiet venue after the audience has left.

Is there something you’d like to do if you had more free time to explore the countries you visit?
Somyul: I’d love to visit museums in each country.
Limu: I wanted to take a slow walk in Cologne and enjoy nature (preferably with some daytime drinking).
Juho: I wanted to take a walk and visit record stores in London, UK.
Geon: I’d love to see local indie performances, regardless of genre.

What’s currently on the band members’ playlist?
Somyul:
Everything from the world of black metal.
Limu: The music I make.
Juho: Lately, a lot of Korean indie music.
Geon: I always have classical music playing, but honestly, I listen to Madmans Esprit the most. Haha.

How do you think this tour has broadened your perspective on music, life, and yourselves?
Somyul: Not really.
Limu: Through new experiences, I feel that I’m growing in every aspect of my life.
Juho: My goals for the future have become clearer.
Geon: It made me realize that we truly have fans in Europe. Thank you!

How do you hope Madmans Esprit is perceived by their listeners?
Limu: As authentic music.
Juho: Since we’re always experimenting with new things, I hope people can feel that essence.

If the band had to choose their favorite food from this tour, what would it be?
Limu: The breakfast at a hotel in Poland—the salad, sausages, and scrambled eggs were amazing.
Juho: Fresh salads, and especially the black pudding I had in London.
Geon: Being able to eat bread, butter, and cheese every day was a blessing.

What do you think could make the next tour even better?
Limu: I don’t know if it’s possible, but more sleep and rest. (Juho strongly agrees)
Geon: More bread, butter, and cheese.

Is there something fans could do to make concerts more enjoyable for the band?
Somyul:
It would be great if they listened to more diverse metal music beforehand. (Limu agrees)
Geon: Just enjoy it without worrying about what others think.

What are your expectations for the shows in Latin America?
Somyul:
Since we’re visiting these countries for the first time, I’m excited to experience their culture.
Limu: It’s a bit scary, but also exciting. I’m curious which Madmans Esprit song is their favorite.
Juho: Since it’s our first time there, I’m looking forward to the culture and food. (Geon agrees)

What cities or places would you like to visit on your next tour?
Somyul:
I’d love to perform in major cities like those in Northern Europe or New York. (Limu agrees)
Juho: Anywhere we haven’t been yet.
Geon: Europe, North and South America are great, but I’d love to do a tour in Asia as well.

What message do you hope to convey through your music?
Juho:
Hope and despair.

What are your expectations for live audiences at your shows?
Juho:
To enjoy themselves safely.

Are there any plans to re-record Satan Eats Me or I Just Want to Sex With You?
Limu: If we decide to, we will. (Juho and Geon agree)

Is there any chance you will resume the Human Traces and Ms. Isohp Romatem projects?
Juho:
Not at the moment.
Geon: There’s always a possibility, but we don’t have the time.

Are you planning special concerts or events for Madmans Esprit’s 15th anniversary? Can we expect a celebration with a show in Berlin with all the bands you’re associated with?
Limu:
It would be great to do a 15th-anniversary show somewhere. (Juho and Geon agree)
