Sho Kiryuin (Golden Bomber) shares a special message for all Golden Bomber fans at Japan Expo Paris!
First of all, could you introduce yourself?
Hello, everyone! I’m Sho Kiryuin, vocalist of Golden Bomber, a Japanese band that pretends to play its instruments. We are the band behind “Memeshikute.” Nice to meet you.
For those who are not familiar with Golden Bomber, how would you describe the band?
Golden Bomber is essentially a visual kei band. We include a lot of comedy in our live performances. We are always fooling around and putting our lives on the line to make people laugh. That is the kind of band we are.
It has been fifteen years since you last performed in France. That is a long time. How do you feel about finally returning?
I really wanted to come back to France. The concert we gave here fifteen years ago has stayed in my mind all this time. I wasn’t able to give a performance that satisfied me back then, so I felt a little frustrated. I’ve become better at performing live since then, and I thought it might finally be time to come back and try again. That is why I returned to perform here for the first time in fifteen years.
To wrap things up, would you like to share a message for everyone coming to see your performances?
I’ll be performing at Japan Expo Paris on Saturday and again on Sunday at noon. I’d love to see you there! Please come and join us for both shows. Thank you so much!
